Early Arrival

Early arrival before YOUtopia officially opens is for build, staff and early arrival approved Theme Camps and Art Installations ONLY. If you are not on the early arrival list, you will not be admitted until 10:00 a.m on Thursday. If you qualify for early arrival, but have not yet received your Early Arrival pass, please contact the appropriate lead of your Theme Camp, Art Installation, or Volunteer Department before contacting your City Planning liaison. Only leads can get approvals.

Participants Bringing Kids

We don’t need ID’s for the kids, but we do for the parents or guardians. Additionally, a Parent/Child Waiver must be filled out by the parents/guardian as well as a Parent/Guardian Agreement.  We will then take a family photo and provide special minor wristbands for the kids that we will match to their parents.  All of this will occur at the Ticketing tent.

Re-entry Policy

Re-entry to YOUtopia before the gates open is allowed and we request that you keep them to the minimum necessary.  All re-entry must go through the entry process and check back in with gate and your vehicle will be searched.

Re-entry once the gate has opened is prohibited – if a participant leaves they will not be allowed back in.

Participants approved in advance by the YOUtopia Gate, based on serious impact to our greater community:  For example, people outside of YOUtopia depend on the participant in a way that cannot be substituted and lack of re-entry privileges would prohibit the participant from being able to contribute to YOUtopia.  Less than 1% of YOUtopians have a situation such as this and they will be granted unlimited re-entry.  These participants will be encouraged to use their privilege as minimally as possible.

There are 2 exceptions to the prohibition of re-entry:

  1. Participants that have a sudden unforeseeable major emergency outside YOUtopia: These situations must be approved by a Gate Lead, Ticketing Lead, Safety Hub Lead, or Event Lead and if approved will grant the participant a single re-entry during the event. The charge for this privilege is $20.  These requests will be reviewed at the gate when they occur.
  2. Before or after the gate opens, when a participant is exiting the event intending to return, their wristband will be removed and retained by the Gate Staff.

When returning the participant will need to check back in with Ticketing, will be issued a new wristband and their vehicle will be searched by the Gate Staff.
