Low Income Ticket Program

Low Income Program tickets are awarded by a committee comprised of YOUtopia production lead members and Directors from the Board of the San Diego Collaborative Art Project (“SDCAP”), which sponsors YOUtopia.  The deadline to submit a Low Income Program ticket application is September 14, 2018 by 11:59 pm.

 

ELIGIBILITY THIS YEAR

If you received a “Scholarship” ticket last year, or any year for that matter, you MAY apply again. Yes, that means you can apply again!

Eligibility for Low Income Program tickets is based on your household income and the completeness of your application.  Please note that every application must be submitted with proof of income documentation.

Low Income tickets at $50 are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first qualify basis.

Deadline is September 14, 2018 by 11:59 pm - but we will be reviewing applications periodically through the summer, and awarding tickets until they are gone.

Who can apply for a Low Income Program ticket?

Anyone can apply for a Low Income Program ticket. Even if you were awarded a ticket in previous years, you may apply again.

Tickets are awarded on a first come, first-qualified basis.

What do I need to submit for my Low Income Program Ticket Application?

Eligibility for Low Income Program tickets is based on your household income and the completeness of your application.  Please note that every application must be submitted with proof of income documentation (with SSN blacked out before sending).

For example:

  • a pay stub
  • a State or Federal income tax return

When are Low Income Program Tickets awarded?

The Low Income Program Ticket program is open and the the deadline for applications is September 14th at 11:59 pm.  We will be reviewing periodically and tickets are awarded on a first-come, first-qualified basis. Get your applications in as early as possible!

All award recipients will receive a confidential e-mail with instructions to purchase their $50 ticket via a unique link.

What if I am volunteering and told to apply for a Low Income Program ticket - do I have to submit anything or fill out the application?

YES - all Low Income Program tickets must go through the application process. Please indicate in your application that you will be volunteering with a department or Theme Camp/Art Project you will be working with. You will still need to apply and qualify for a Low Income Program ticket.

Everyone pays for a ticket, including our Event Producers - there are no free tickets.
