Tickets for our October 2023 YOUtopia are now on sale!
Using Your Credit
If you’ve opted for the partial refund from the October 2022 event postponement, you should have received an email with the credit value and the Promo Code. Treat this Promo Code from the email like cash. Your credit is now tied to the code, not the original order or email address. The promo code can only be used once. You may transfer the credit value to another person simply by giving them the Promo Code.
In order to use the credit:
- Go to the YOUtopia Ticketing page at https://sdyoutopia.com/tickets-fall-2023/
- At the top of the form, it will ask you to enter the Promo Code.
- After selecting your ticket, it will be applied to the total price.
That’s all you need to do. The credit is good through to the end of 2023 and can be applied to the traditional October 2023 event. Any unredeemed credits will go toward supporting our local makerspace, San Diego CoLab.
Reselling Tickets
Make sure to access your Eventbrite account through your system browser. This option doesn’t exist on their app, unfortunately.
- Log in to your Eventbrite account with the email address and password you used at the time you registered. (If you forgot your password – just select Forgot your password.)
- Click on your Profile at the TOP RIGHT of the screen, and use the dropdown menu to select Tickets. Select Upcoming Events and then your YOUtopia order. This brings up your tickets so you can view or print them.
- To change the name on a ticket in your order (Transfer), select EDIT. Change the name AND email on the ticket being edited to match the new participant and then SAVE the changes at the BOTTOM of the page! SCROLL ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM TO SAVE!
PLEASE NOTE: Only the person who originally purchased the ticket from Eventbrite can edit the ticket information.
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO THE ORIGINAL TICKET HOLDER IS
Send an email to tickets@sdyoutopia.com and include the following information:
- Full legal name of seller
- Full legal name of buyer
- Email addresses of seller and buyer
- Order number
If you are having issues with the process of editing ticket information, ask yourself the following questions before contacting Eventbrite or YOUtopia:
- Did I change the name AND email address to match the new participant’s information?
- Did I scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click SAVE after inputting the new participant’s info?
- Am I the original purchaser of this ticket from the Eventbrite site?
If you answered NO to Questions 1 and/or 2, please take the appropriate actions that will allow you to answer YES!
If you answered NO to Question 3, contact the original purchaser of the ticket and ask them to edit the information on the order. If you don’t know who that person is, send an email to tickets@sdyoutopia.com that includes the names and email addresses of the buyer and seller as well as the order number and we will try to help you out.
