What is YOUtopia?

YOUtopia is San Diego’s official Burning Man regional event celebrating the culture and principles of Burning Man. In 2019, YOUtopia will take place on property located in the Arial Acres area of East Kern County (LAT/LONG North 35 05.091 – West 117 49.523), near California City, CA

What is a Burning Man regional event?

Burning Man only happens once a year, but Burner culture is alive and well year-round. Burning Man regional events are held all over the world and are based on the Ten Principles, empowering Burner ethos to thrive far and wide. YOUtopia is part of a long tradition of bringing the magic of the playa to the rest of the world while also celebrating the vibrant creative and communal elements of San Diego and the surrounding areas.

YOUtopia Theme

YOUtopia celebrates the creativeness of it’s collective attendees. Each year, the San Diego Regional Burning Man Event, dawns a new theme through the submission of on-goers, staff and the like. The theme is echoed throughout the entire event from the theme camp decorations to the costumes of the people enjoying the festival.
