YOUtopia Gate Hours of Operation

Welcome to the Luminous Playground. Please have your tickets, waivers, and vehicle passes ready to play.

The Gate is where your YOUtopia adventure begins. Before you roll up, make sure every person has a completed waiver and their own entry ticket, and every vehicle has the appropriate vehicle pass. No exceptions at the Gate for missing paperwork or passes.

GATE HOURS

  • Wednesday: 12:00 pm to midnight
    • Early Entry until 11:59 AM – Theme Camps members & Artists who’ve been pre-approved and on the Early Arrival List
    • General Admission opens at 12:00 PM
  • Thursday:  9:00 am to midnight
    • General Admission
  • Friday: 9:00 am to midnight
    • General Admission
  • Saturday: 9:00 am through 12:00pm
  • Sunday: EGRESS ONLY

    • Please be packed up and out by 2:00 PM

Entry Information

BEFORE YOU ROLL UP:

Have these ready:

  • Completed waivers for every person (printed if not filled out online)
  • 1 entry ticket for every person
  • 1 appropriate vehicle pass for every vehicle

The Gate is not the place to discover that your crew is missing paperwork. Do your homework before you hit the playa.

  • Arrive prepared. Enter once. Build the Playground.

* Valid Photo ID means a license, passport or state or military ID card. It MUST show your date of birth.

Early Arrival

Early arrival on Monday and Tuesday before YOUtopia officially opens is for build, staff and early arrival approved Theme Camps and Art Installations ONLY. If you are not on the early arrival list for Monday or Tuesday, you will not be admitted until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. If you qualify for early arrival, but have not yet received your Early Arrival pass, please contact the appropriate lead of your Theme Camp, Art Installation, or Volunteer Department before contacting your Placement Team or Theme Camp Liaison.  

Participants Bringing Kids

We don’t need ID’s for the kids, but we do for the parents or guardians. Additionally, a Parental Consent Release & Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement must be filled out by the parents/guardian as well as a Parent/Guardian Agreement. We will provide special minor wristbands for the kids and will assign unique numbers that we will match to their parents. All of this will occur at the Ticketing tent.

Re-Entry Policy

Early Arrival

Re-entry to YOUtopia before the event officially opens is allowed for event staff and approved artists and camps. We request that you keep them to the minimum necessary. All re-entry must go through the entry process and check back in with gate and your vehicle will be searched.

NO IN & OUT

Once you enter the Luminous Playground, plan to stay inside. YOUtopia operates a no in-and-out policy. This helps us protect the event, manage Gate operations, and keep the playground running smoothly. Need to leave and return for a special circumstance? You must request and receive approval before arriving at the event. Do not count on getting an exception at the Gate.

Exceptions are made for participants that have a sudden unforeseeable major emergency outside YOUtopia. These situations must be approved by an Event Staff and, if approved, will grant the participant a single re-entry during the event. In case of emergency, contact a YOUtopia staff or volunteer to reach a ranger and/or gate to communicate your situation.
